Days of knowledge and wonder

Dear friends,

It's been a long time since I wrote something on this blog. But I've been extra busy since January when I started a one year course of study at Singapore Bible College. So, it's back to school for me, but this time, I am learning and reading about topics that seem to have a direct relevance to my life and faith - hurray! Theology and Missiology can seem like rather abstact and dry topics to some, but I am really lapping it up with the inspiring lecturers we have and the good atmosphere at school.

Maple has enjoyed coming occassionaly with me to the college, because the library has a good collection of English and Chinese Christian books, magazines, journals, etc.

The only down side of being in theological education is the pace of studies, which is quite demanding. There are early morning starts on a few days of the week when lectures began at 8am - so I am up at 5.30am! Also, the assignments come thick and fast.

But all in all, I thank God for this opportunity to expand my mind and horizons, and to meet and make new friends in the form of classmates from nations like Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Britain, Korea, etc.

If I have been lax in writing and staying in touch with some of you, I hope this explains things a little.

God bless and keep each of you.

Manik
